Mobile Wallet – A New Way to Pay

Mobile Wallet lets you pay for purchases with a tap of your mobile phone. To use it, just unlock your device and hold it up to the reader at a participating retailer. When you use one of these mobile wallets, your card number is replaced by a unique code for each transaction. That means your actual Debit Card number is never shared, adding an extra layer of security when you shop. Simple Setup


To add your Bank of Akron Visa Debit Card to your device's Mobile Wallet, simply locate the appropriate app on your phone and follow the instructions for adding your card to the app.

Where can I use my digital account number? Initially, digital account numbers can be used for purchase through participating merchants where contactless payments are accepted. Look for one of these symbols on the credit card machine:

How does my device transmit payment details? When shopping in-store, simply activate the payment functionality on your device and hold the device in front of a contactless reader. The digital account information stored on the device will be transmitted directly to that contactless reader.

What if my physical VISA card is lost or stolen? Please contact the Customer Care Center as soon as possible. Once you receive your replacement card you can add your new card to your mobile wallet.

What if my device is lost or stolen? If your device is lost or stolen, contact your carrier and suspend your device and call the Customer Care Center to also suspend your digital account number.
