Please stop by one of our offices if you will be traveling abroad. We can "enable" your individual card for foreign use while you are traveling and disable it when you return. IMPORTANT FRAUD NOTICE! (Please read)03/21/2007 There are currently several e-mails circulating that will appear to be from Bank of Akron. They make mention of "closed account surveys", "deactivation of your online account" and other seemingly threatening and urgent claims. The e-mail then directs you to click a link to correct the problem. If you click the link you will be taken to a fraudulent web site that looks just like our web site. At this point you are directed to enter personal information including credit card numbers, expiration dates, PINs, e-mail addresses, etc. The fraudsters will then use the collected information to steal your identity, your cash or both. You can be confident that Bank of Akron will never request your personal information or credit card numbers via e-mail. If you have accounts with us, we already have your information and will not request it again. We are dedicated to protecting the security of your personal information.
