Application process

Applying for a business loan at Bank of Akron is a simple process. The process is outlined below along with some helpful hints to make the process go as quickly and smoothly as possible. We have provided forms you can submit online and/or print for your convenience.

For most business loans we will need an application, personal financial statement and information about how your company or business is organized (DBA/Partnership/S-Corp/Corporation). The forms may be accessed via the links below:

 Once we receive your application, one of our experienced commercial loan officers will contact you to review the application, answer any questions you may have and determine the most efficient way to proceed with your application.

For most business loans we also require the following information:

  • Last three years of tax returns or accountant prepared financial information
  • Copies of Certificates of Incorporation or DBA Certificates and your business registration with New York State

Start Up Companies:

Loans to start ups and to finance the purchase of existing businesses typically carry a higher degree of risk. The Bank of Akron, in partnership with the Small Business Administration (SBA) can offer a variety of guaranty programs for these transactions. Information and assistance with business plans and projections is available from your local Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) or the Small Business Administration (SBA).
