Bank of Akron online banking is now your answer to managing your funds no matter where they are located. Bank-to-Bank Transfer (B2B) allows you to transfer up to $10,000 daily into your Bank of Akron account. You can also move $10,000 daily from your Bank of Akron account to another financial institution for a small $3 processing fee.
You can transfer funds to or from your:
- Bank of Akron checking and savings account
- Your checking or savings account at another financial institution
- From or to certain brokerage accounts
All Bank of Akron online banking customers can take advantage of this service. Log into your Bank of Akron online banking account and select B2B.
To get started you will need to register for this service, arrange for a test transfer and submit proof of ownership of the external account.

How do I get started?
The first step is to enroll. Click the Enroll Now link and provide your name, address and e-mail address. Then check the box for Bank to Bank transfers. You will receive an e-mail letting you know when your on-line banking account has been activated for Bank to Bank transfers. You will also be requested to provide a copy of a bank statement or cancelled check from the other institution.
Do I need to be enrolled in on-line banking to do B2B transfers?
Yes, you must first be an active on-line banking customer. If you are not an on-line banking customer, simply click the Enroll Now link and we will get you set up.
What do I need to do to arrange a transfer to another financial institution?
You will need the routing number and account number for both your account at Bank of Akron and for the account you wish to transfer between. These numbers are found at the bottom of your check book.
When you click on B2B you can select setting up a new account tab. This will ask you for the routing numbers and account numbers. Input this information and select “Submit “.
The system will perform a test transfer. This test transfer will post a deposit to your account at the other bank and make a withdrawal from that account. The amounts will be less than $1.00.
In a couple days, access your account at the other institution and record the amounts of the two transfers.
Log back into Bank to Bank transfers and click the verification link. Enter the transfer amounts and click “Confirm”. If what you recorded matches, you are set up and ready to make transfers.
Must the accounts be liked named?
For your security and protection we require the account at the other bank also be in your name. That is why we ask for a copy of your statement or cancelled check.
How much can I transfer?
We set up a daily default limit of $10,000.00 for transfers from another institution, and a daily limit of $10,000.00 for transfers to another institution. If you need to make a one-time transfer in a larger amount contact the Call Center at 716-542-5401.
Can I have a larger limit?
Larger limits are generally available for business customers with a verifiable need for a larger limit. Contact your business relationship manager to discuss your transfer needs.
When will the funds I transfer be available to me?
The following assumes your transfer was made prior to 1:00 PM. Transfers to another financial institutions will take up to 2 business days before the funds will be available. Funds transferred to Bank of Akron from another financial institution will generally take up to 3 business days before the funds are posted to your account.
Is there a fee for this service?
There is a $3 fee for a transfer from your Bank of Akron account to another financial institution. There is no charge for a transfer into your Bank of Akron account.
